Safety Tips
Candle Care
Wooden wicks are different from traditional cotton wicks. With wooden wicks you get a more even melt pool and less soot. Follow these candle care instructions to get the most out of your wooden wick candle.
-
On the 1st burn, allow your candle to burn the entire diameter or edge to edge to prevent tunneling. this may take up to 2-4 hours.
-
DO NOT BURN LONGER THAN 4 HOURS!!!
-
Always trim your wick before each lighting. Trim wick to 1/8" - 3/16". Be sure to trim off and of the black charred wood from previous burn. If wick is too long the wax can't be absorbed properly and may have trouble staying lit.
-
To light a wood wick, tilt your candle at an angle and let the flame travel across the widthof the wick so the whole wick burns evenly.
-
Keep candle away from kids, pets, drafts, flammable items, and place candle on a heat resistant surface. NEVERmove a candle while it's burning.
-
Stop using candle when 1/4" of wax is left.
